About Us
Namaste, I am Pemba Ghising, a trekking guide and tour operator based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with more than 15 years of experience in the Himalayas. I began my trekking career in 2007 as a porter, where I developed resilience, teamwork, and a strong appreciation for mountain travel. I then worked for two years as an assistant guide, deepening my knowledge of routes, safety, and guest care. Since 2013, I have served as a lead guide, committed to ensuring travellers experience Nepal safely, comfortably, and meaningfully.
I have led treks throughout Nepal’s most renowned regions, including Annapurna Base Camp, the Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda, the Everest Region (including the Three Passes), and the Manaslu Circuit. With over a decade of guiding experience, I offer in-depth knowledge of the trails, landscapes, and local cultures that make each journey distinctive.
I am calm, adaptable, and responsive to the changing conditions of mountain trekking. Given the unpredictability of the mountains, I prioritize thoughtful decision-making, responsible challenge management, and a steady pace to ensure clients feel safe, comfortable, and confident throughout the trek.I currently lead my own trekking groups across Nepal as a freelance guide, offering affordable and flexible packages with a strong commitment to quality service, warm hospitality, and personalised support. I find the greatest satisfaction in helping clients create meaningful memories and experience the heart of Nepal.
